Open Houses For Mansions

Some realtors of multimillion dollar mansions in Los Angeles have been holding open houses that anyone can go to. These homes, usually in the Beverly Hills or Hollywood Hills areas usually are staged, or furnished by a designer, so there's nothing personal inside for snoopers to get excited about.

The advantage to opening these up to the public is so the builder, designers and/or real estate broker can meet potential new clients.

Visitors tend to be not only potential buyers for that property, but many are curious neighbors or wealthy people planning to have their own mansion built or designed. Sometimes it's friends of neighbors who want to move into the neighborhood as well. Other times it's lookyloo tourists from a star maps tour bus.

Other agents and their clients still don't go for this practice, opting to keep things private and exclusive.
